And no hood or case either. The barrel construction looks quite similar to the 85mm f/1.2L

Having shot the 50mm f1.0 that belongs to a friend it is a nice conversation piece, but is not an impressive lens. Far to soft for my tastes. But a nice collectors item.


You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.

85mmL is the same. Some of the glass is cut away to make room for the electrical contacts:D
