Would appreciate C&C on these recent shots taken while at a resort in Punta Mita, Mexico.

Wow, Beautiful location. The color in Nr. 1 looks a little overdone, but I really like the rest of the images.

Thanks, Zonieart.

I agree the first looks "overdone" - I didn't do much to it, but did brighten the top half some, while experimenting with LR 2 features. Here's a JPEG from the original raw image with no adjustments for comparison. The sunset still looks fake, but this was the actual color.

I'm kind of a natural guy.

They all kinda look over PP to me.

Although the splash in #4 is pretty good.

First one is the best I think. The colors work good for this type of photo. However, they all seem too tight, like there is more that should be in the photograph. Are these all cropped?

The third one is the sleeper here. That one could be a cover shot for Conde Nast Traveller.

Thanks RDHPhotography, eldiablo, and Kcussbuc for taking the time to comment. I'm just learning, and am trying to learn to take landscapes that are a bit more interesting than my backyard.

As for PP ... No. 2 & 5 had minimal levels adjustment. No. 3 is actually HDR from 3 exposures at -2, 0, and +2. No. 4 was seriously underexposed, so had to be lightened quite a bit.

The bottom portion of No. 1 was cropped, but the others were not cropped other than straightening horizons where necessary. I should have taken more time, and also tried my wide angle lens.
