A couple of things. 1. Read this...

Image Size Limits:Image must fit in 1024 pixels by 1024 pixels box.
If you want to share a larger photo, please link to it. See https://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=157706
for tips.

2. Don't hijack a thread. If you want comments on your shots, start a new thread.

3. In the image, too much stuff and not enough aircraft. Shoot tighter.

Yeah, another 20 or 30 years and he might get pretty good at this...

Panning with the 500 is no easy task. This show (Camarillo, CA) has the perfect setup for this kind of work, the sun is at your back and the hills are about the perfect height and distance, perfect conditions for IS and the full AI servo settings-Canon makes me look like a pro, ah, I hope a little of it is some skill on my part... Well may be in a another 20 years...LOL

Wonderful shots. Simple question, I see that some are shot at F22 and I do not see a spec of dust. How the hell do you do that?
I just had my camera cleaned and I still have a crap load of spots.

Thanks again and fantastic shots.

I have a censor scope and I usually clean clean my camera before each air show.
Also I usually don't change lenses on my 1D, I leave the 500 on it and I use a 20D for ground shots with either a 28-135 or 17-40, when there's more than one airplane flying I use a 100-400 for backup to the 500 on the 1D.

Thanks for the info. Do you have a censor scope brand recommendation?
Thanks

This works for me & there aren't any dust bunnies in my air show shots, either:
Some personal views on Sensor cleaning.
(well, maybe one in the afternoon as I change lenses.) ;)
