Conversion to colored pencil

Not sure if I did this right but I think I kind of like it in a drawing. What do you think?

Neat - try taking the original image, duplicating it an a new layer, applying the colored pencil filter to the dup and then playing with the soft light, hard light, etc. blending modes and opacities to composite the colored pencil look over the original. Also try playing with the opacity of the underlying original to change the look. You can even take the colored pencil layer, dup it, desaturate it and then blend it into the mix to control the definition of the pencil stoke texture. This will give you a way to bring out more color and not have everything go to the flat gray of the background "paper" - play with the paper brightness, etc. in the colored pencil filter setttings as well.

I seem to remember that you posted this image some time ago as a straight shot.

I like this version much better - even though the one I remember from before was quite good. It does have a colored pencil or a pastel look to it.
