How does one Actually...Push...

The same way you go to the bathroom. ;) Having been on the other side of the delivery I can say that doing what women do for child birth is a massive task. And delivery is the short part! 40 weeks of carrying for a couple hours of pushing! Women get all the props for childbirth and deservedly so!

I hope all goes well for her...also today my wife and I are in the hospital awaiting the birth of our first born, too...

Right now we're just waiting for the drugs to take effect. It should be sometime this afternoon/evening.

Awesome Chris! Congrats!

Katherine Rose was born today at around 6:10pm ish by C-section. Mother was exhausted from 20+ hours of attempts at labor without any labor contractions (she was having contractions but not progressing to true labor).

Photos will be coming later. 7 pounds 2 ounces, 19.3 inches long, a head full of black hair, and the cleft chin from my side of the family.

Congrats to Chris and spouse. When do we see the iguana pics? "Later" is too nebulous!

Congratulations Chris. We're all so proud of you after all that hard work. Sounds like your wife did okay too.

Seriously - I'm very happy for you and your whole family.
