Katherine Rose was born today at around 6:10pm ish by C-section. Mother was exhausted from 20+ hours of attempts at labor without any labor contractions (she was having contractions but not progressing to true labor).

Photos will be coming later. 7 pounds 2 ounces, 19.3 inches long, a head full of black hair, and the cleft chin from my side of the family.

Fantastic news Chris! And a beautiful name!

Thanks everyone for all the congratulations!

Surgery went well....much less traumatic than last time. Ian is a super sweet little boy and is nursing like a champ. I'm finally out of the hospital and feeling pretty good. Just tired and it's hot here! I'll be doing a newborn shoot in a couple of days so keep an eye out in the people forum!

I'm so happy to see you are both nursing families! Such a rewarding experience, best for baby and FREE to boot!

Try a breast shield you can get them at Walmart, they work great for little ones who have trouble latching on. Or you can see if your hospital lactation specialist they can help alot.

Yeah, and get her pumping to stimulate the milk production.

The wife has some shields and saw the lactation consultant a couple of times at the hospital. Hopefully this weekend things will get better.

Yeah, and get her pumping to stimulate the milk production.

It appears that milk is close to coming in; she'll just have to keep trying to nurse (and we're supplementing with formula when Katherine isn't getting enough) and pump to get the milk to come in more.
