Can anyone see if the ET-83 II (from the 70-200/2.8 non IS) will fit the 100-400? The 100-400 hood is an ET-83C......So, it should fit...right? both are 83's.

Hmm i tried the 70-200 2.8 Hood on my 100-400 IS USM and..... at 100mm i get dark corners... i can see the hood on the picture.... so dont be cheap and buy a hood (if you own these two you should be able to buy a decent hood)!;)

I hate the hood on the 100-400.... fits too snug and is wearing away the plastic a bit on the lense's hood mount.
