Given that most postings and thus info on these forums originate from the US. I'd like to know more about pricing commercial work here in the UK and Europe. I know there can be huge differences in what you can get, where and for what.
But this link: http://photographersindex.com/stockprice.htm (external link) posted on other threads is a great tool. I'm aware of the NUJ site and it's info for togs, but find it a bit haphazard, often out of date info, not as broad sweeping, or as easy to use as this 'ready reckoner'.
Maybe, if we had an easily referred to tool like this one we wouldn't be so unsure of our pricing structure?
If we do, where can I find it?

contd..
2. How do we ascertain the worth of the work?

I've seen some photographers 'Rate Cards' which are very helpful. But, let's say for example; The shoot above was priced for the client at say £440. With supply of 20 edited jpegs plus expenses, lets say another £60 for travel/ consumables, and a licence for 2 media for 36 months. Are these figures reasonable? And, when if ever, do we charge more?
