Well it is a family event...

I have been asked due to the absence of some family members to shoot a funeral and i think i have it pretty well covered but as it is a sensitive event i was just wanting to check i had covered all bases....

I will be shooting High ISO indoors no flash 70-200f2.8 mainly everything from a distance maybe some isle shots head shots including lecturn over the shoulder tears and hankies kind of stuff....Any advice would be appreciated...:(

As a guest, I took photos of a funeral once. I stayed in the back so I wouldn't be a distraction to anyone. It was a military service with flag folding, gun salute, taps and the unloading of the casket from the hearse.
The widow was pleased with the photos.

I use to shoot a lot of these, and one thing to remember is that clients want to use these moments to show others at a distance who cannot share in the moment. It was big for people who had family in another country who could not come. Ask for a little time with the loved one and shoot some establishing shots like one would shoot the cake and bouquet and all the niceities at a wedding. Shoot the flowers the book, The tie, suit, and all of that, and don't forget to shoot the loved one. Shoot available light if possible, and of course be discret.
