I need someone else to take a look at this. I think the colors are off but than I can't get them right either.

I think it's a compelling image. I wouldn't change anything. You can saturate the feeder, but I really don't think the feeder is the subject and over-saturating it would make it to competitive with the bird. A year from now you will not remember the real colors accurately, anyway.

Not sure what are the right colors. I think the image is just slightly warm.

From what I can tell, the image looks ever so slightly warm with a touch too much purple hue. Again though, it all depends what you saw when you took the shot.

Just my take but its a great shot. Maybe next time, get the bird to hold a grey card for the wb. ;)

Thanks. I actually warmed it up a bit myself.

The colors that I think are missing is that the yellow on the humming bird was a lot more pronounced, but if I try to increase contrast or increase the yellow it distorts the rest of the image.

Is this what you mean? I selected the hummingbird and then adjusted hue and saturation on the yellows... actually, I only adjusted the slider on the saturation... you can make him a blue hummingbird if you wanted by changing the hue. Not knowing what its color should be, I probably exaggerated the color a little.:p

That's much closer, the steps were what I needed. I thought I tried moving the blue but I guess not, or after the 20th different image, you lose were you wanted to go.

Thanks.

I appears that there is a slight magenta cast so I did some global changes in ACR by adjusting the WB and then tweaking the color saturation and luminance sliders. By using layers and isolating the hummingbird, it could have also been tweaked separately to give it more color.

I think that's where my problem is Bill.

Your body is exactly what I remember, but the yellows on the bird pop-ed like crazy.
