I've bought the 40D, a flash, and a lens from them before. No issues.

Choose free shipping from scamazon and see what will happen.

1. Your order won't ship for at minimum 1 week.
2. It will ship the longest, slowest way possible.
3. Newegg usually ships the same day.
4. Whereas I don't like UPS, they will get it to you much, much sooner than scamazon super saver shipping.

Solve all those shipping problems from Amazon.com! Go Prime shipping! Prime shipping is really awesome, just like the company! I get everything in 2 days, guaranteed, and sometimes, in one day.

I love Newegg too! When I think computer parts, I think Newegg!

And with prime, if you preorder something (like Wii Fit that had no end of availability complaints) they will pre ship it so it actually arrives on the day the thing is released.

Newegg is good, but I bought an A630 from them awhile ago, and the box was in very shady condition. That's the only camera related item I've bought from them.

+1 for Amazon Prime. Anything that is eligible (basically has to be sold directly by Amazon) gets 2-day shipping for free, and you can bump it up to next-day shipping for $3.99 per item. You can also add on "extended family members" (all of a sudden I have a nephew and an extra cousin) to your Prime-ness to help split the cost. It's only $80/year so with even two people, you can get your money's worth after only using it twice.

I bought a nice big 26" monitor, and through Amazon Prime I was able to get next-day shipping for a measly $3.99. That paid for my yearly membership right there.

I agree that Super Saver Shipping is the worst shipping ever.

Newegg is a great store too, I use them all the time for computer parts. Even their free shipping is next-day delivery to So Cal.

NewEgg is a great online retailer. I have been buying from them for years. They always ship quickly and are first rate.

One thing however, they are NOT authorized Canon dealers.

Be sure to check the return policy if you buy a Canon item. If it's covered by a NewEgg standard return policy they will do a free exchange for one year.

I exchanged a 55-250 after a couple of months and the exchange was quick and painless.

They're RMA department is first rate but they do charge a 15% restocking fee if you return an item for a refund within the first 30 days.

They also have one of the best retail websites in the business.

Another Thumbs Up For Newegg!

I bought a grip for the 40D from Newegg and it broke a week later. I called Newegg and they e-mailed a pre-paid UPS shipping label to send it back. They shipped me out a replacement and I paid none of the extra shipping costs.

I've also bought computer stuff from Newegg and everything went well.

Thanks for all the good comments everyone.
I received the BG a short time ago as promised by Newegg.
I really like the feel of it on my 40D, especially with the 70-200 L attached. Balance is very nice even though the weight increased.

I have spent over thousands through newegg and have never once been dissatisfied with their prices or customer service. They are the best PC component website out there IMO and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

I highly doubt that newegg would do that, if you can back your claim then fine, but I doubt newegg of all places would do this.

that said, I just ordered $700 worth of computer stuff from newegg this morning, it's on it's way already, though it sucks b/c they split my order in two
majority of parts coming from CA, but the motherboard is shipping from TN, so i'll only be able to admire my CPU, GPU, HDD, and RAM for a day :(
