heard lots of good stuff about newegg.
thinking about buying my future memory cards there.
just look out for some of the bad brands of memory cards.
read reviews to find the bad/inconsistent ones.

I purchase all of my pc stuff from them. Recently built a small Shuttle PC for about $700 and it all came nicely packed.

Flash drives go bad eventually and the OS manages bad blocks and sectors and a whole host of functions to move data around to maximize the lifetime of the flash cells. Data longevity relates to cell structures changing over time generating state changes. The reason this occurs less with a heavily used drive is that data is constantly being moved around to maximize cell life. In theory all cells get equal time. Left on a shelf for years on end it is inevitable that some cells like pixels may go dead. When a cell can no longer be programmed the block is isolated and no longer in service.

For the record data latency refers to the amount of time it takes to get data from point A to point B. Data longevity has to do with how long a cell remains programmed.
