Well in 37 hours I leave on my excellent photographic adventure. The gear is packed and repacked (how am I going to sweet talk the the attendant to let me in with 3 carry ons [plus computer bag] of equipment? and even more important how did I get so many delicate things to carry on {don't worry I have a plan}). I need to put a weeks worth of clothes in a checked bag and then hit the tarmac.

I have not taken a properâ„¢ vacation in 5 years so this one will be done right. I will be spending the time in New Zealand and will return to Canada in mid-January (wanted to make it end of February to be closer to spring on my arrival but I have things to do that I can only put off for so long).

I won't ask for any advice on what lens to bring since I don't really have any more room and I think I have it covered now. So this is just to say bye for now to all and I will check in from time to time to make sure I keep an eye on this growing, every changing community of photo nuts.

Take care folks.

Ha, ha, dang! I want to go too! Can I come? I have family in New Zealand!

Anyways, I hope you have a great trip, I wish I can go and travel a little bit... my girlfriend really wants to go somewhere, away from her family.

I will have fun and not only get away from family but everyone else. Although some family wants to visit me while I am there. Must be my magnetic personality lol.

I am going to let my traditional chinese doctor treat me like her own personal voodoo doll this morning for a couple of hours. Maybe she will stick the sleep on the plane needle in me.

I didn't even repack the camera bags again but I am about to add a spare tripod quick connect plate.
