I do and that's a great shot! Had the babies been born when you took that or?

No....she was sitting on these...which started to hatch....while we were there...we moved off because she was nervous....so I didn't get any shots of the actual hatching process....

mmmHmmm. And Daisy would be devastated if I brought a new camera home!

My camera doesn't have a name... but my XTi wouldn't be leaving me... there is a special reason that I have that camera... and I won't ever get rid of it....

and amen to your amen!

My wife checked out a movie last night called "27 Dresses" or something like that. I've never shot a wedding, and I will never want to.

That was a great movie!!!!I got it via Netflix just after I had surgery!!!!

Wool! I guess I had a sex reassignment surgery after all!!!

I feel odd writing to tell Dom that I am not only NOT a Mr., but my appropriate title is Dr. :o

This is almost word for word what I wrote for him and he gets the by-line!

I'm not sure if he'll do the radio interview or not, but there will be a second part to this, I think.

(I'd like to thank Jen for the use of a few of her !!!s)

Doooooood!!!!!!! That's not cool at all!!!!! SHEESH!!!! What an idiot! And you can use all the !!!! you need for that dolt!!!!!

OMG That is tooooooo sweet! Great shot Mike! But.... I thought.... well... didn't you go to shoot balloons??

wu_wei0 wrote in post #6158604 (external link)
I wrote a PR piece and sent it out. Dom got a copy and asked me to do an interview online. He gave me the questions and i responded colloquially. He copied it out with virtually no changes. I signed my emails with the feminine version of my name and my original letter was signed with my title. Still, I turned into an uneducated boy.

But I won't care, if it means some sales!

Unbelievable the idiocy of some people.....

Not really true Olympic events, but something fun anyway...

Oh, I'm also turning this into a Blurb book; here's the cover art:

These are a RIOT!!!!! *starts saving money now for Olympics book*

ibdb wrote in post #6158743 (external link)
Mooooo, all.

Nice digs.

Today was the first day it hasn't rained here in at least a week. Since I'd fertilized the lawn after the last time I mowed, that meant I had a jungle growing out there by today. The machete is put away for now, and I thought I'd get going on the new Yurt.

Size matters?

I know there's been a fair amount of discussion already, but nice shot, Wu!

Great eyes!

My eyes. . . That's better.

And apparently quite happy about it.

We live up here where the sun only shines on occasion and high ISO is the norm, Permie. I remember looking at somebody's shots a while back and being amazed at the low ISO they were taken, when I'd been doing similar shooting at about 3X the ISO only a few days prior.

My wife only cares about her title in the office, but when she's in the office, speaking as an authority, and a patient addresses her by her first name, it's like fingernails on a chalkboard to her.

Good luck on more sales, by the way.

GAH! Not you TOO!!!!!!! Sheeeeeeeeeesh!!!!!!!!!! And YES I was VERY happy!!!!!

wu_wei0 wrote in post #6158777 (external link)
I'm sorrry for a lot of things (I am sometimes referred to as a "widdle ball of guilt")

I am particularly sorry for acting snotty about a stupid title I don't even use. I didn't realize how crappy it sounded and I didn't mean that at all.

I like the TR Olympics panels.

Thanks for the comment on the pic, David. I guess I have to give in and agree it is ok.

Nothing to be sorry about

You earned... you have the right to use it...

I liked them too!

You should give in and agree it is a GREAT picture!!!!

Permagrin wrote in post #6158780 (external link)
you weren't acting snotty.
And you earned that title, be proud of your accomplishments.
You could just be a hack like your sister...not an enviable place in this life, I tell you.

Just quoted this for Wu to see AGAIN!!!!! Minus the Hack crap she's talking about!!!! :p

Permagrin wrote in post #6158861 (external link)
:p (you could bet if more than 8 img were allowed this would be plastered with raspberries)

Bwahahahahahahahhaha *killed most of 'em to keep others hehehehehe*

Permagrin wrote in post #6158978 (external link)
I know it's hard to ask you to judge each of these on their own (since they are the same yet processed differently) but again...which do you prefer (and again, there was nothing I could do about the sunglasses...)

a.

b.

Either a or b

Dan says I should crop out everyone but the first guy since the 2nd guy looks "like an Irish immigrant dropped in to a powwow" What do you think?

Yeah kinda with Dan on that one hehehehehe

genodm wrote in post #6159028 (external link)
I say B is the best but you have to lose the white guy with the baby bonnet.

Yeah hehehehehe

Woolburr wrote in post #6159029 (external link)
He doesn't really have a lot that says he isn't Irish! The diaper on his head and the Cartier on his wrist really make him out of place.

He sticks out like a sore thumb....

Permagrin wrote in post #6159197 (external link)
it was weird when Kevin was born...because both Tif and Andrew had huge blue eyes and blonde hair and pale (PALE) skin, and Kevin had olive skin, dark brown eyes (never blue) and dark brown hair...well, one person (idiot) actually asked me if I'd been unfaithful

My children look totally different... one like me... one like his dad as a kid... one brown eyes & hair.... one blonde hair blue eyes.... I've been asked (by my a$$ of an ex) several if I was faithful.... jerks....

Great shot!

Bwahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha

Yeah.....This was before he got a chance to scare them off.

Yeah it was.... I was hissing at him to be quiet.... lotta good that did.... Then he asked for my camera too!

Did you see that I saw that you did not see that I saw your post?:lol::lol:

Basically I am still on the fence with the Bigmos. I love the reach and the OS works well despite the jitters every now and then. The AF seems fast enough as well. I am able to track some BIF, although none of the shots were worth a darn due to bad light and poor composition. the IQ is where I am on the fence. If I don't pixel peep the shots are quite good. But if I have to crop at all the shots lose a lot. I still have yet to get to shoot in decent light with it other than the Panthers' camp where I was VERY pleased with the shots. I have an air show in September and some sports coming up so I should now soon if I will keep it. If not I see a 400 f/5.6 prime in my future unless Canon releases another 100-400 or equivalent or another prime lens.
