And this one that I took, I didn't realise how it would turn out, but it makes you want to take a step back!!

Love the second shot! You might want to warn the Cap'n before he sees that one. He's much happier closer to the ground or water than at altitude. ;)

Good morning, folks. Just thought I pop in and say "hi." I'm working from home today waiting to see if my daughter is in real labor or false labor....I hope it's real because I really need a grandson to balance out all the girls around here. :)

Congrats and good luck on that, Mark!

I'm buried under my Africa shots. I don't know where to start to process, annotate them :o

I've got a problem with that. Bridge refuses to edit metadata on a whole bunch of shots. I don't know why...

I used to use Bridge for that, but I swear by Lightroom now. Much easier to annotate.

I agree with David....annotate early and often or it just piles up and it seems like an overwhelming task.

I had no computer during my trip, so I have to do all at once...

As for LR, I wish I had the budget :o

Had to step away for a bit. That's an odd one. Any chance the files got set to read-only somehow? Do you have an external drive you could move a file to and see if you can edit things there? Post a file someplace and see if someone else can edit it? I've had my share of screwy problems, but that would be a new one.

That would have been a cool thing to do those freeie playing cards I posted about a month or so back! Deals like that happen sometimes. If I hear of another, I'll let you know.

Mooo all. Have a super day.

yeah, we always seem to think of things too little too late

This is probably my most frustrating photographic experience. This goes right up there with losing the tripod with the Wimberly head on it. I'm not sure where the problem is.....it's either lens or body, but I intend to find out this morning. Whichever it is, it will go into Canon today. I'm going back to the same place on the 13th, and that's the camera/lens I planned on using most.

When you feel you've been slighted, perception is reality. Of course that swings both ways; it's almost as unfair to the people who mean no harm, but are accused of committing deliberate snubs.

Clearly there are times when people who know us---make that people who know us well---are confused by our behavior. That happened to me a couple days ago when Chris and Lisa were pretending to be upset with each other. Hell, I feel I know them both reasonably well, and I was fooled.

Anyway, as I said last night, this issue is definitely on the back burner. I have camera problems.

(joke------really)

Yes, I can see how Chris and my sparring could come across to people who don't know us. Now. Then I figured they'd see it clearly for what it was. But no worries...we'll keep our abuses to pm's now.

You do bring up a good point though. It IS hurtful (and extremely frustrating) to be accused of something you aren't doing (and not intending to do) or even think you go out of your way to not do. So where is the balance? We had a person in here not too long ago that crossed the boundaries of propriety (social I'd say) and many people took offense. I decided that the nice thing to do would be to drop a hint (before everyone ignored this person for good) and it developed into a real offense with that person. Unfortunately. I realized then that some people won't hear, no matter how nicely you try to say something. And then, there's also the point of the ignore button. It's there because some people do irritate. So if they "generally" irritate and many have them on ignore, well it's entirely possible that they would be missed in the process.

Anyway, my point is that sometimes people just don't mesh. No matter how people try.
