Wow, really? I mean, if you really can't wait, then, well, that's gonna suck, cuz it's not going to start for a month yet. Not really sure how to solve this problem. Perhaps cryonics would help by putting you in a frozen sleep for the month so that you won't be aware of waiting when you really are. I hope this helps.

hehehehehehe ;) frozen sleep.... Not for me doooood too cold!!!!

I worked with a guy who was originally from Wyoming. I was suitably impressed.

I've not met any one from Wyoming... pretty impressive! ;)

It's in NW Portlland (St. John's) and it's the weekend of September 20th.

We are the proud parents of a new wii.

what's a wii fit balance board? And what games do you use it with? We got a package thing and a few games.

Wii Fit (external link) is another game for the Wii that uses your feet as a controller. There are balance elements, aerobic elements, yoga, and strength training parts. The balance board only works for a very limited number of games right now, but more games are said to be in the works.

And the photo size thing is a real bummer, Permie.

Good job, David.

Thanks!

No need to apologize. We know the risks. I also know that babies can get their arms and legs caught between the rails.

When Brady (our oldest) was around 18 months or so, he got his arm out through the rails in his crib during naptime and got it stuck. The first we knew of any problem was when he started hollering "stuck, stuck, stuck!!!" He didn't think it was very funny, and at the time we didn't either, but we laugh about it now. We didn't even know that word was in his vocabulary until that moment.

yeah, I think feedback is important. I think when I re-open the SMWYG contest in October I'm going to make sure and give it.

I don't know if there's any formal feedback with this section of the photography exhibition. There's two different exhibits at this fair -- one for Washington residents, and another "International Photo Salon" with a much more formal and complicated entry process. The Salon specifies numerical scoring.

For those of you who know about my brother, it turns out he did not have a heart attack. His liver is enlarged and he does have some heart damage but it's minimal (on the heart thing) the liver damage is more extensive but can correct itself if he'll stop drinking (it's all drink related sadly). But if he stops drinking, he's not in a life threatening position...if he doesn't....so thanks for the thoughts and prayers :)

It's a 2 day festival under the St. John's Bridge in Cathedral Park. Lots of people dressed up as pirates. They do skits and have bands (lots of low cut bodices too)...it's a great photo opportunity if you like shooting people.

Wish there was something similar here. Probably wouldn't make it though. I missed the annual Monty Python Madness in Grapevine. :(

No need to apologize. We know the risks. I also know that babies can get their arms and legs caught between the rails. It is kind of a catch 22 if you ask me. I prefer the soft bumper to that of the hard rails.

I'm so used to parents who are not aware of the issues..... and can't make informed decisions..... The hazards of working with high risk/low income/under educated families...

I much prefered the hard rails because at least for the SIDS risk period they weren't as mobile in the crib.....

Too funny!!!!! But by 18 months... even with the bumpers they're climbers by then!!!! hehehehehehehe
