I want to create/build a photog website on my own and I see that there are a lot of people that have done that built a website and hosted there photos there and the results look really cool- anyways, does anyone have any suggestions on decent web hosting sites?

Are you looking to build everything yourself, along the lines of what Scott does?

I use BlueDomino (www.bluedomino.com) as a web host for a website I maintain for a PTA like group. I wasn't involved in their initial selection, so I didn't go through a full comparison of them vs. anyone else out there, but I've been pleased with their service and responsiveness since taking over maintenance of the site.

I'm not quite sure what I'm looking to do yet, I just decided I wanted to do something this morning. Really it comes down to how much I can get my husband to show me- he's the computer geek...er guy here

I've managed to nearly kill the thread myself quite a few times recently, but it always manages to survive.

About to make lunch here, then get the little guy to take a nap.

My oldest was honored for being an all-around outstanding student at the assembly this morning. Each month they feature one value for all the students to model. Brady was honored this month because he was said to be one of the best models for all the values they will feature throughout the year. He didn't see us in the crowd until after his name was called, and when he did spot us his proud grin grew into an even bigger smile.

G'moooooooooo everyone.... Early start to my day... was at work at 7am... took camera to catch sunrise.... Ummmmm didn't see daylight until almost 7:45.... it was just too too foggy this morning to see ANYthing! We were totally socked in... the sky went from black to navy blue.... then eventually it burned off but sunrise was way past over... We were still burning off fog at like 10am!

Whatever you do....don't use flash...it looks cute...but serious lookers walk away.

You know where there is an operational F series lashup? I have heard tell of one in Colorado...that is the only one I know of. I so want to see a working ABBA in action. (No....not the Swedish variety! Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh)

I think that Flash done right is just fine... the majority of extremely successful professional photographers have flash based websites...

Thanks, all. We think they're all keepers (at least most of the time ).

And I know a lot of people that refuse to look at them because they find flash sites annoying. People like to look at their own pace and pause if they want to.
