We are looking at a dark economic period. People are making cuts all over the place. Some times the cuts they make aren't real ethical, but if they have to choose between eating supper and buying a picture....they are probably going to eat, especially if they have already missed breakfast and lunch. People are going to have to rethink their business goals.
Actually, interesting enough there is evidence slightly to the contrary.
I mean if you are talking about people that are in a rather dire situation, then yes.
But for most people, in times of economic slowing things like this tend to do better off. For example, it is a trend that things like flowering baskets, etc. Tend to do fine, if not slightly better.
It is something that give instant and somewhat lasting satisfaction something to brighten the spirits.
Admittedly, pictures cost a bit more, but there are plenty of people that see it important enough to budget for it, even in the current economic situation.
I mean, we have one lady that spends about 1000 dollars consistently every year for flowers and baskets. This year, she did end up actually getting a few more baskets, though I never hear estimates on total cost.
So it isn't always doom and gloom for all businesses in these economic times. The public it is a ration time that the public is rational in its decisions.
