Good answer. I might be able to tunnel out for a while in a couple days. I'm up to my armpits in alligators right now.

I confess...I can't help it...I poke your nose every time I see it :lol::lol::lol:

Nobody said you have to. We just say you can't tell anyone to RTFM or do a search as the sum total of the answer. But you'd never do that, so it's cool.

wise words...

it is a shame when the person just blatently doesn't read the manual or check though... but some people geuninely can't figure out what the function is, so don't know where to start looking in the manual/web/search etc.

That's what irked me about that post... The way the OP blatantly admitted he was too lazy to read the manual.

Dan refuses to learn to process wedding shots  He doesn't mind being a backup shooter but hates to process for any length of time.

I don't like processing much either, especially when I have 2,100+ images to go through, but I'm stuck doing it. Heather's a "complete idiot" (her words) when it comes to processing...

Somebody's been wearing one of my shirts.

Anybody care to explain?

I finally figured out what your avatar reminds me of...

When a Hornbill mates, the male walls the female up inside a hollow tree where she lays her eggs and raises the young, all the while being fed by the male through a small hole in the tree.

Did Lois stick you in there and is she feeding you?

Evening mooooo, all.

Just got back from soccer practice. Nothing like juggling a dozen first and second graders, with the added bonus of a two year old thrown in for fun. Luckily there was another little brother there Ayden's age, and one that he's played with before. A great group of parent helpers certainly makes things easier, too.

...now I have to pack because I'm leaving to see my grandbaby tomorrow morn.

Have a great trip, Permie! I'll never forget the look on my parents' faces the first time they saw Brady in person.

...I've convinced her that the 18-55 is not good for her, and she' progressed onto the 17-40L.

Then she went to a dinner party and complained that the shutter speeds were all too slow, and I suggested the 24-70, and she didn't think it was too bulky/heavy... so we're getting there.

 That's a pretty dramatic progression in a pretty short time. Nice work.;)

Sorry to hear you have spots on your focus!

I don't mind them. They actually make the lens focus exactly where I want it to. It's the craziest thing...;)

i'm glad you're still with us Woolburr. I hear it's cold up there. No oxygen means no fire, so a gas tank explosion wouldn't be much to worry about. Just a minor inconvenience as you collect all the pieces of your car that are floating around in the air.

hahah yeah... quite classic actually. She used to be an avid p&s follower... and I got her the 350D for stupid cheap (with the excuse that it's my backup camera)... :) and I went from 18-55 to 18-55 II USM to 18-55 IS to 17-40L. Probably will get her a 17-55 f/2.8 IS. Maybe I should swap her 350D for one of my 5Ds and see if she notices :D HEHE

None...they filled the oxygen tank with nitrogen by mistake...

I pushed it about as far as I can...I was sick of all my RAW shots looking like crap...so I only shot JPEGs yesterday.

I've shot nothing but RAW since the first of the year....and 99% of my shots look like crap...so I shot a bunch of JPEGs....and look...usable pictures.
