Well, I finally got done. Most of these were taken with the 5D and 17-40. I used a ND or a UV filter, pp with PSE6.0. Hope you enjoy them.

1. I think this is the Amphitheater

I processed these and will be ordering from Adorama a few 11x14 as they are really cheap this week. I am thinking of giving one or two framed ones for my husband's office. Which ones?

Hi Suzy. Can't believe no one had commented on these shots. I love these two parks with a passion. The two shots I would print are the one of the Hoodoos and the last one of Bryce. Both very dramatic looking. The last one could use a curves boost to the contrast though. The clouds are a little flat to me.

Thanks. I still need to work on them before printing. Your suggestions are good. :)

Thanks, Maureen.

When I was waiting for the helicopter, 2 women came out of it. One was carrying a Canon with a 70-200 2.8 IS on it. I was curious to why she picked that lens when the wider lens would be more useful. But I don't know. I just loved using the 17-40.

I didn't know hikers counted as wildlife ;)

Good shots, though first is a bit cool, and all of them look better on my screwed up firefox 3.5.1 install than the ICC-less IE8. Tried bringing it down a third stop and then bumping up blacks a bit?

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

Thanks. I have been trying to edit these to get the haze out. Mark, stop looking at my old stuff. You are so funny.

I would, without question, choose the wider lens over the 70-200 for a view like what you captured in these photos [refering to the lady you saw on the 'copter that had that attached to her camera]. Anyway, great series!
