Here's another photo I took now. It doesn't have any artificial noise. Taken 400D + 18-55IS at ISO1600, f/8, 1/6 hand held. Lit up by table lamp from a few feet away.
Suggestions for improvements needed.

It was cropped out from the left and bottom edges! I did try the higher contrast look. Maybe I'll give it another shot. Thanks flickr photostream

Here is the updated one. My first time with the Clone/Heal tool. It was the gradient of the light in both the axes that was making it tough for me to clone it out. I need to practice more. flickr photostream
