Has anyone ever encountered an issue with the Calumet Genesis 400 not firing when other lights are in the mix? I have another Calumet travelite 375 and a travelite 125 with pocketwizard plus II on all lights, all set to the same channel and set to local. I've tried messing with different settings like setting to both, all different channels, and playing musical chairs with the pocketwizard units to see if the pocketwizards themselves were defective or not. I even tried using a different sync cable from the pocketwizard to the genesis strobe. It seems as if the Genesis strobe only fires if it's by itself on it's own channel. It's the only one that doesn't fire when I have all the lights set up. But when I turn off the other lights, it fires! What a selfish bastard! Is this the way it's supposed to operate, some sort of glitch, or am I not punching in the right settings?

Sorry, Ryan - I've only used 'em in a small studio environment without pocketwizards so no help. I'd say check your photo cell adjustment button (next to test button) to make sure it's not set to look for a preflash first ... but then you said it DOES fire when the other lights are turned off so that doesn't sound like the answer.

Please keep us posted if you find the answer. I'm sure someone else may run into this issue down the road as well if it's a setting.

Ah thanks for trying though, I'm putting my monkey face on looking at this manual here.

Did you try it with more separation between the Pocket Wizards? I've read about issues with Pocket Wizards misbehaving when used at very close range, although I haven't experienced this myself.

Yeah I've tried seperating them further. But the living room where I do shoots in isn't very large and even spread apart about 6 feet wide, they still seem to conflict.
