outer ring of Tamron 17-50 loose

Hi,

I've had my tamron 17-50mm f2.8 for about a couple of years, and outer ring is now a bit loose. This has no effect on picture quality as this ring isn't attached to the lens elements, but I afraid the ring will eventually come off. Has anyone have this problem and how did you fix it (if this can be done at home). Thanks.

Hi there,

I had that on mine, picked out the plastic cover carefully that is on the front of the lens and tightened the three (i think) screws under it, job done.

Its been fine since.
