So I purchased a Vivitar 285HV, a cybersync trigger and receiver, and a cable from flashzebra to connect them. I hooked them up but the flash will not trigger with the cybersyncs. I tried the cybersyncs out on my 430EX and they work great. I also tried out my Vivitar flash on my camera and it works. I can trigger the flash manually and on a camera body but for some reason I can't trigger it with the cybersyncs. The only way I have gotten it to flash with the cybersyncs is if I have the flash on, the cable plugged into the flash but not into the sybersync receiver, then I plug the cable into the receiver and it will flash. It will also flash if I unplug the 3.5mm end of the cable from the receiver while everything is on. Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks in advance.
