This is what I produced.

I used 150w halogen security light (the ones to stop burglers) on each side of the cardboard box and the pop-up flash on my 400D. Ok so not an ideal setup by any means and I already will buy another security light for the top and not use pop-up flash - but I am not going out today !!

I took it as a JPEG and changed the white balance on the camera to tungsten then white flourescent. However as you can see from above it is still not brilliant white. Can I easily alter this in Elements 6 or do I need to go for RAW?

Any other C&C most welcome.

Assuming your background is white, take a picture of that without the product and use that photo to set the custom WB. That will give you the white you are looking for.

Decided to just set the white eye dropper in Levels to sample the background, added a border and some text. IMHO a better effort .
