I don't know many people here, but a few i have met in person. Our beautiful cat (Trippy) was 6 years old this month. She was diagnosed with renal failure about 6 months ago. We have been nursing her along with fluids under her skin everyday and feeding her low protein diet, yogurt etc as recommended by the vet to help her kidneys. She took a turn for the worse two fridays ago and we put her in the hospital for intrevenious fluids. Her kidney values fomr the bloodwork was still around 180.

I came home friday before this past and she had vomited in the floor and was laying in the middle of the floor and was very cold and breathing shallow. I covered her with a blanket and called the wife to come home. We lost her that day on August 15th and I have not been able to speak of it or keep from crying since.

I thank everyone for letting me get some of this off my chest as it has been bottled up inside. I love her and miss her very much.

She was beautiful! You have my condolences.

We currently have six cats, all rescues. We have always had a large cat household. Over the years we have lost many cats, and each one hurt. Our eldest is now 13.

You have my condolences. It hurts when you loose any member of your household. Beautiful picture of her.

Sorry for your loss. I too am a cat person and have 3 right now. Over the years we have suffered the loss of quite a few of our feline family members and it always hurts. Just remember how blessed you were to have each others love for the time you did. She was a lucky cat to have a family that cared so much for her.

Lovely photo.

I am truly sorry for your loss. My cat (Pretzel Pussikins Oliver Duck Dorito) is 7 years old and we are very attached to him. Do you have other cats? Your Trippy was very beautiful... and she must have been pretty wild/crazy to get that name:)

...But still the clever north wind was not satisfied. It spoke to her of towns yet to be visited, friends yet to be discovered...

I am so very sorry. I know first hand how painful it is to loose a beloved companion. Find comfort in having had such a beautiful creature grace your life.

I still tear up thinking of my dog Smokey that I we had to put to sleep 28 years ago. I know how painful it must be for you. Better to have loved Trippy and lost Trippy, then to have never loved her at all.

Lucky cat to be so loved.

I've lost both mine, I have an idea how you feel. They were better friends to me than many people.

It's rally hard, tehy become members of the family. In the last 2 years we have lost Zoe (aged 26 - renal failure like your cat) and FanFan (about 14 - long time illness, acquired before we rescued her never diagnosed despite many tests). Luvie the Russian Blue nearly died but had a big ear operation (she had a polyp) and is getting her health back. Currently we have 4, 3 rescues and Luvie who is an ex-breed queen.

Remeber Trippy with love and for the fun she gave you. You cared for her and did the best you can, and she will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss! My dog and cat are like my kids...when they hurt, I hurt. We are lucky to have them for a time. But we will see them again. She was truly a beautiful kitty.

As a staff member for two "Pound Kitties" I just wanted to pass along my condolences.
Cats are furry angels here on Earth..when they pass, they are just going home.
