That is so sad, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. :(

I have 2 wonderful young cats and I love them as much as most people love their human children.

Steve, I am sorry for your loss.

When I was three years old, my parents got a Siamese and a Manx. When I was 25 the Siamese died of renal failure. When I was 27 the Manx died of renal failure. We went through the sub-cutaneous fluid treatments and all of that stuff. The worst part for me was watching my poor cats drink water and never quench their thirst.

My dad poured a headstone for the Siamese out of concrete and inscribed it. When my parents moved, he dug up the coffin and tombstone and moved it to their new house.

I understand how painful it must have been for you, but on the other side of the grief you will be left with a lot of good memories to keep with you.

BTW, I've had a Siamese and a Manx of my own since I moved out of my parent's house at age 21 (14 years ago). :) Cat people are just a little crazy.

Again, I'm very sorry for your loss, and give my best during your grief.

Condolences.

We have three cats and the middle one has CRF and she's only 3 years young. She crashed about 4 months ago but her values are looking good, although still double the normal.

We have our hopes up.

I know how hard it is to manage a CRF cat. We go through it on the day to day basis but each day we get with her we are thankful for and makes it worth it.

Hope your cat is in a better place.

Regards,
Nick

Nick, if it gives you any hope...my current Siamese had complete renal failure when he was four years old. He lost a lot of weight and ended up spending a few weeks at the vet. His kidneys slowly started functioning again and he hasn't had a problem since. That's been ten years ago now.

Very sorry to hear it. I lost my 19 year old cat (as old as me) in February. They really do become part of your family and one of your best friends, never an easy thing to go though.
