A few shots from a shoot that Miss Phloss, the vibrant partner of one of our own POTN members organised in Auckland, NZ last weekend. A reasonable amount of the GKPE/Kiwi contingent from these parts was in attendance, as a bunch of us were in town to combine this shoot with a bit of sight seeing around The Coromandel peninsula and the odd landscape photo. Moppie's photos from the shoot can be seen here: clicky and clicky.

The rest of the POTN bunch who showed up have scattered their stuff elsewhere and I've not found any dedicated links for them yet. The shoot was something a bit different for me, the alternative fashion stuff is not my usual thing, and the idea of being in one location with so many other people at a time is new to me but it was cool, good fun, and despite the fact I completely cocked up the shoot, I did manage to get these eight photos out. Comments welcome guys!

I have but being honest, as I stated all the way through this I dropped the ball all over the place with this shoot and I'm not too comfortable with a lot of the other stuff I shot. They're like OK instead of good, and you know what a fussy bugger I am at times! ;)

Cheers, Dave.

You sound like the robot from Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

I just checked, and I got 346 photos from the day.
Of which 15 I consider good, and maybe another 15 that I consider OK.

Anyway, I really like 6, 7 and 8.
There is emotion showing in their eyes, something I failed to catch properly when I shot each of them.

Have you Calibrated your Monkey lately?

Now more than ever we need to be a community, working together and for each other, as photographers, as lovers of photography and as members of POTN.

Thanks man. Looking at it, I shot 152 photos throughout the day including all those setup ones of the blank walls etc, and I think I got about 10-12 I'd openly parade about in a portfolio or something like that. I was quite annoyed with myself about it (and the Coromandel stuff) as I usually get a much higher hit rate than that. ?!

5 and 7 for me, love them both. All of them are great, as usual, but those two seem to have an extra connection with the subject, sharing a moment with the camera if you will.
