Ok, I have been tempted to buy a reflector but I am wondering how am i suppose to hold the reflector and also take a picture at the same time. Is there any equipment that can be used to do that.

Thanks,

Michille

An assistant is definitely the best way to do it. There are, however, clamps you can use to attach one to stands: search B&H for reflector holders, I believe.

You can use a reflector arm and a light stand. Here's one from Amvona (I'm not necessarily recommending this one but it's an example):

I had plenty of light stands so I purchased the reflector arm only. (I bought an inexpensive one on eBay and it works pretty well.) This one is similar to the one I bought:

Please note that these will not work well outdoors if the wind is blowing strongly! The reflector acts like a kite and will topple the light stand pretty easily unless it is weighted down.

and sand bags if you plan to use it outside. The stand will fall over if there's any wind at all.

I bought one of these reflector arms from Alien Bees, it works well. The mount has four different diameter holes and will fit most light stands, tripods etc.
