Hoping to find out the filter size for the TC-DC58A Telephoto lens for my Pro1. It's a huge piece of glass and I want to protect it ASAP with a UV filter.

RockOne wrote: Yeah. I read it wrong. According to the &H (INVALID EMAIL) website it doesn't have a front filter thread, but it would certainly be bigger than 58mm. Must be one chunky lens .Yeah, I noticed the "no front filter thread" description on the B&Hsite. They got that wrong. It is threaded for a filter. Sony RX10 M4

Might be worth sending an e-mail ? Or perhaps going into the camera shop and seeing which size fits. Good luck with it Steve

Thanks again Rock. Yeah, I went to Canon's site and I couldn't even find the lens, period. I also went to a local camera shop last night and they didn't have anything that big. I would try calling around a few different shops, but the first question they'll ask is, what size are you looking for. Sony RX10 M4

Is it worth the money? Does it add considerable weight to the Pro1? How about handling... does it make the camera awkward to hold? I might be looking to purchase one in the future and just wanted to see if it might be a worthwhile addition to this camera. 1D MKI + 1Ds MKI + 5D MKI Kit - EF17-35 f2.8L | EF24-70 f2.8 L | EF 100-400L IS | EF15 f2.8 | EF35L | EF50 f1.4 | EF85 f1.8 | EF135L | 580EX II | 580EX I | 270EX II | G12

Okay, I just finished speaking to Canon Tech Support and they informed me that what I thought were threads, are only concentric rings presumably there for attaching a certain type of lens cover. Open closer inspection, I can see that they are correct and that they are simply concentric circles and not threads as I first thought. Sony RX10 M4
