I took some photos at a family dinner and found this on one of the photos afterwards. Does anyone know what would cause a white block of pixels to be on the photograph?

I tried to bounce my flash off the ceiling once. Left a mark on the ceiling and broke my flash.

Looks like a bad CF card to me or a corrupted download.

Looks like a problem with the CF card..
Did you use card reader to transfer photos, or a direct connection with the camera?

First thing I’d do in this case, would be to format CF card in the computer and see if it happens again.

Sorry, man. I'm due for an avatar chance soon (got a new model I just shot with), so you'll get your chance. :)

Haha, hurry up, we are all eagerly waiting for the new model! ;)

P.S. I have the same type of shirt, but in painfully bright yellow!
It’s being used solely for the purpose of embarrassing my daughter in front of her friends. :D

It was a new CF card and i used a card reader to download the photos.
I actually formatted the card in camera before using it.

Does this mean the card is faulty and should not be trusted or would re-formatting clean it up?

As Mark suggested, it’s either the problem with the CF card, of the card reader.
Formatting the card in computer should clear the problem with the card.
Formatting in camera is not the same, do the Full Format in the computer and see what happens.
