Nuts. I'd better go check on my two-month old 40D to see if still works.

What a relief. Now all the "my 40D can't XXX", "my 40D s@#&s", "my 40D doesn't work", etc threads will become "my 50D can't XXX", "my 50D s@#&s", "my 50D doesn't work", etc.

I'm dumping the 1D series Canon, I've been totally blown away by the performance of my 5D over the 1DMKIII and as of today the 50D seems the new king.

I'm going to look at one at the first available opportunity ~~ :)

so you obviously haven't learned anything from the mkIII and you you are still going to jump on a brand new model the second it is released.... :)

Exactly the reason I have been giving for why it wasn't in the 40D. More people are going to screw up their systems with this than you can shake a stick at.

It is a great feature for those who actually need it though. I have had no problems with any of my lenses thus far, but in the future there may come a day when I wish my 40D was able to make micro adjustments. Oh well, you can't have everything contrary to popular belief. I guess I'll just have to buy some more lenses and enjoy the "rush to the 50D" show.

I've been reading the specs on the 60D which is due for release in 2010. I think I'll wait for that. It's going to be much better than the 50D. If the price of the 50D drops below $300, I'll buy one, but in the meantime, my 40D will just have to get me by.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

this christmas is going to be a great time to pick up the 40D for an awesome price. most people don't even use half the functions and features on the 40D, let alone the coming 50D. now i'm just wondering what canon is going to do with the new 5D, how they are going to price it, and when the heck its coming out.. same goes for most of us i guess.

I'm waiting for the 90D to be released in 2020.

I feel that by THEN it'll have everything I want and need. I REFUSE to take ONE single picture until that camera comes out. :-)
