I've been thinking about bounce flash & the problems that arise because of those times when there is nothing to bounce off of. Being short of money, I pretty much have to improvise. A friend of mine has a portable projector screen with its own tripod, it folds into a fairly neat tube. Easy to carry, fast & easy to set up & no need for an assistant. Any one use a similar idea, what are the results?

A tubular plastic frame (PVC plumbing pipe, or Photoflex) which breaks down for travel, with a panel of white fabric that slips over the assembled frame...lighter than a projector screen! Stands hold this up. Both projector screen or pipe+fabric frame are in need of assistants when the reflector is used outdoors in any type of breeze!
