My complaint is with posting pictures that are of such high resolution (size) that I cannot see the whole picture without scrolling. It does not matter that the guidelines may allow 1024 pixels - it is still going to irritate some critics.

I think the DOF is exactly appropriate because it lets the figure at the left be part of the image without being an element of importance - she is simply tolerated as a part of the background.

Our main subject has blown out highlights (loss of detail), which could have been avoided by getting the camera set up in advance rather than depending upon AE, which did not do its job in this case. It appears that pp has darkened the blown out highlights, but that does not salvage the loss of detail which is permanent once it happens. The overall dynamic range and contrast is too high as is indicated by the blocked up shadows.

All of that is all the more unfortunate in that her facial tones and detail are excellent. Likewise, her strength of character comes through strongly and her visual impact is tremendous. Very 3-dimensional!

thank you Bob, I always appreciate the feedback. the blown out portions did indeed bother me but I thought that somehow I could save the picture with the PP. when I completed it, doing the best I can, I stood on the fence which is why i posted it here.
