I had to share this..I am sure lots of you out there can feel what I am feeling at the moment: I have just bought my first L lens and my first semi-pro camera after 8 years...After a long review and sample picture browsing session I have decided to get the 70-200 L IS f/4 and a canon eos 40d and use it in conjunction with my sigma 18-200..(which will be replaced this year some time with another good L lens..advise is very welcome!)..I have sold my 350D, a bit sad to see it go as thats my first dslr but I am sure 40d will be a joy..

:) happy photographer!..

I have these, use these, and love them. The 40D and 20-200 f/4 L IS combo is solid.

congrats!:D

when you decide to replace your sigma, no need to go L, check out the 17-55 IS. one of the best, if not the best general-purpose lens for crop bodies.

if an L lens is what you really want, one of these could be it...17-40, 24-70 & 24-105.

You will love the 40D after using a 350D (no offense to 350D owners). I have that lens and it's everything it's cracked up to be.

Congratulations.
