What is the best DPI & resolution to use when uploading to myspace and facebook?

I notice when I upload them they appear softer. My friend did a photo shoot, i know the guy has a better cam but his were sharp as hell when he uploaded them.

Should i resize to 700pixels for long edge and continue to change dpi to 72, or do I keep DPI at 300 and resize to smaller resolution. I use photoshop for this.

Myspace/Facebook, sometimes try to resize or pixelate your photo so it can be optimized for viewing if it exceeds a certain size. I'm going to try a few things like uploading the highest resolution and such until I get some help from you guys...

its kinda disppointing that these sites do this because they ruing your quality upon presentation to someone else.

Dpi is irrelevant. 1, 72, 300, 10000. Doesn't matter for display.

You probably will need to sharpen the file after resizing however.

Using "Bicubic Sharper" in PS instead of "Bicubic" helps a bit.

Quite a few other ways to do that however.
