For a fake crime scene session.
Is the fake Halloween blood sufficient for photography or is there something better to use?
Anyone have any experience with shooting fake blood?

Straight Red for fresh blood Red + some Blue for blood that's begun to dry Red + lots of Blue (toward Black) for very dried blood [EDIT] For blood that runs into nooks and crannys well, cut the Corn Syrup with some water. It can be a touch thick straight from the bottle... you ever see the EVIL DEAD movies? i believe the above recipe is what they used. The actor is Bruce Campbell and i read in his book about the fake blood. but if it sets up real long it hardens. Canon 5D III, 17-40 f4, 50 f1.4, 85 f1.8, 600 ex rt flash
