Couldn't resist trying for the most outlandish 50D thread. And no, I'm not making fun of the 50D, I plan to get one if possible! :D

I have both and I like my 50D better. My Hubble is okay, but after a couple of hours it gets heavy.

I rented one and I agree. I haven't tried the 50D yet, though.

The AF on the Hubble is Sloooooooooooooow....

But it's ok as it's got plenty of time. (Light Years, in fact...)

On the upside: it's probably the only lens with an MTF chart in Angstroms... :)

I had my 50D out tonight on a tripod and actually captured a point in the universe where there were no more stars.

Am I forgetting something or isn't NASA dedicated to Nikon equipment since the 1980s?

I thought the next closest thing to hubble is the d3...

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

IIRC, NASA went Nikon AFTER the Hubble was released with AF issues...

(Little Known NASA Secret: At least one of the Shuttle Crew are always a Canon Service Tech...just in case...)
