xti with pocketwizard, using as a shutter trigger

ok so the wire that came with my pocket wizard wont work with my xti. i see that my xti has a sub mini. can i just use any cable with a submini to mini cable? for example radio shack? or just get it from flash zebra? http://www.flashzebra.​com/shutter_pw/0092.sh​tml (external link)

im not even sure radioshack has it but you never know

So you're trying to trigger a PW with an XTi? That doesn't have a PC port does it? Usually in that case you use a hotshoe to PC connector.

Can you describe more fully what you're trying to do?

If you're trying to trigger your XTi with the PW, yes, you can use a miniphone to sub-miniphone cable sold by flashzebra.com to connect the two.

The mono miniphone to sub-miniphone cable sold at Radio Shack should work, too, as a full-time pretriggered cable but I've never tried it so I'm not 100% sure about that cable.

yes. i will try my local radio shack and compare prices. if its worth a shot ill give it a go. thanks for the replies
