Each airline has their own restrictions which seem to keep changing.

Think Tank Airport international...fits in the overhead and holds a ton of gear. It will hold a laptop too but you have to purchase some accessories.

I usually either bring my LowePro Stealth D550 AW or my LowePro CompuTrekker Plus AW. Both bags usually just squeak into the size limits.

Side note, I hate the cloth test the TSA does. Last time I flew they flagged my bag, so the lady took a METAL rod with a clip on it and clipped a piece of cloth to it. She then put it down into the top of the bag and scraped all the way down the side of my 70-200. They wouldn't let me take the cameras out for them, and they said they had to do it as is. It was a test for residue from obvious things but still. Damn. Thankfully there was no damage to the lens, the mark it made wiped off.

Beware if you ever fly to Australia or New Zealand on their carriers, as they have a very strict size and weight limitation, 7Kg is not much to carry!

As advised, check the carriers you will be flying, for their specific limitations. Info on the web!

I have this bag and it holds my camera and every one of my lenses, plus my flash, battery charger, and light meter. It's huge - relatively speaking. It fits all airline carry on requirements at this time.

This is a complex question

Are you flying domestically (Can/US) or internationally (outside Can/US)? What airline are you flying, are they Can/US based, or Euro/Asia/Pacific based?

This information is becoming much more relevant when knowing what you can and cannot carry on-board. Even more important is that you you may depart YYZ with say your Think Tank Airport Security but be denied returning with it from Frankurt (for example as I have no idea where you are headed).

What you may get on board an Air Canada flight for carry on to Asia may be denied upon departure if flying Singapore Airlines........

........so give me a bit more info and I can help guide in you in terms of both official policy and practical policy, which don't always match up (but I never bet on practical policy unless I am extremely familiar with both the airline and the departure/arrival airport)

I believe Sunwing operates not only its own aircraft, but also certain flights for AeroMexico on intra-Canada/Mexico routes.

AeroMexico departing the US/Canada follows standard baggage size rules, while flights from Mexico (on a totally inconsistent basis) follow "international baggage" sizes. The bags you say you have selected should meet 'international sizes' (but double check, I am going from memory).

You can read the differences in baggage carry-on allowances based on size in this post:

I carried a full tamrac expedition 7 through YYZ into US and also into Canada, didn't have a problem, no one checked the weight, good thing because it was way over, and it fit in the overhead bins as well as under the seat ahead of me just fine.
