Here is what I am wanting, if you can tell me what I need I would be very grateful..

I would like a remote trigger so I can have my camera on a tripod and shoot away from the camera (for kids and such)

Also I would like to be able to have my laptop on the table and have the pictures transmitted to the laptop while I am still shooting. I went to a sandy puc seminar and she had one of these and I want to check into one.

Thanks for your help!!

Kim:)

The remote trigger can be done with two pocket wizard plus II's and one CN3 remote trigger cable. You can see the cables at pocket wizards website.

You can tether your camera to the laptop with a USB to mini-USB cable, specifically a Type A/mini-B. I ordered mine from www.Lindy.com (external link) (5 meters in length)
The part number on the bag is 31687

More information about shooting tethered here. (external link)

Here is one option...Only one problem, it is $430

Here is a second option that is much cheaper at $90 and will do what you want

For having your pictures transmitted to your laptop, you could use the software that came with your camera to do it, however you would need to have the camera plugged in

Or if you feel like spending $800, you could buy this to wirelessly transmit the pictures from your camera to computer http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ess_File_Transmitter.html (external link)

You can get canon or 3rd party wired shutter releases. You can also get wireless. In fact there is somebody who sells the Phottix wireless remotes on these forums but I can't recall who it was. Its a nice inexpensive alternative and has worked well so far.

The laptop thing sounds interesting although I can't tell you how to do it. Can you just use your data cable and leave it plugged in letting the software do the transfer?
