The 2nd one. But why are you using a hotshoe to PC thingy when your camera already has a PC connection on the side?

Tim - The hotshoe adapter is for the flash.

The second cord will be as good as the first. Since the hotshoe adapter has a standard PC socket (not a screwlock type), a cord with a screwlock plug will work, but no better than a standard PC plug.

By the way, Lon at Flashzebra will gladly answer questions like that if you send him an email. He won't steer you wrong.

I have to agree with Curtis. Lon has been very helpful with me in getting my flash off camera. He even went so far as to answer some tech. questions when I was trying to make my own hotshoe due to him being out of stock.

For the same price, why wouldn't you pick the one with screw-locks on both ends? That way, you can use it with flashes that do have screw-locks for a more secure connection.

So the screwlocks will work with the hotshoe also?

Yes. If it didn't then it wouldn't be backward compatible with all PC ports and I'm sure that wouldn't go over very well with a lot of photographers. :)
