for the bike riders, how do you carry your camera?

I am just wondering how you keep your camera ready and stable while on a bike. Fall is coming and I will be breaking out the bike to capture all the streams and colors. I would like to keep my camera in a position that I cam shoot or have it ready in a flash but all I have at the moment is a third parts neck strap. I am a little weary about riding with just that. Thanks for your help and your responses.

Lowepro Slingshot300 with the waist stap firmly attached. It's very easy to sling it over, grab the camera and click away.

I've abandoned all hope of my 40D on my Harley. I've not tried to put the 40D on my bicycle, I use my S3IS instead.

You might want to take a look at the Kata "Torso" bag. I have the Kata T-212 (there's now an updated, larger model, T-214, which I just ordered) that I used for taking pictures while bicycling. It's really convenient for quick draw.
