I was recently asked by a friend to take some pictures of her horse for her. I'm not quite sure how to do the shoot and how much to charge. Any advice and would be greatly appreciated.

Some details would be helpful.

What colour is the horse?
How big is it?
Will you be shooting it in a studio, in a paddack, in a barn, in a show jumping arena?
Will your friend be on the horse?

Do you need to charge for the photos?
There is nothing wrong with just taking photos for a friend. :)

So long and thanks for all the flash

If you aren't familiar with shooting horses and this is your friend, I would do it for free.
There are many ways to shoot horses, I think if you provide more of the setting of the shoot, folks may be able to offer more specific advice.

Agree that if you don't know how to do it, don't charge! If you do a good job, you did a good thing for your friend, and you can be more confident next time and charge accordingly.

The Horse is a half arabian half quarter horse and the setting is an outdoor/barn setting.
