Got this old film flash for my EOS 20D today

and i was told its all manual and was ready for quite alot of work when using it

but its fantastic it cost me £29 (probs about $50 in US)
this thing is very powerful

and took me about 10 minutes practice to use gfetting really good results

only thing to watch out for is overexposing

the camera does have some communication with the unit, the light recognises the cameras aperture, and its really quick to zoom in on the head, as well and 2nd curtain sync also works perfectly

so for someone looking for a cheap speedlight good for use on and off camera
i'd DEFINATELY reccomend one of these!

I just picked up a 540EZ, looking forward to playing with that.

Thanks for the super mini review!

also, if you put it into strobe and 5Hz and put it on 1/16 power you can easily get 1 or 2 FPS with the flash firing

and im only using cheap AA batteries that cost £1 from the local newsagents atm!
