Question 1.What are these flash triggers I'm hearing about?

Question 2. What do you recommend for defuser? I'm thinking clear wrap and or the colored stuff you can get at a craft store.

I was thinking spreading camera gel on the flash "My mother has this stuff called camera gel you spread on a lens but will it work for the flash?"

1. Erm... can you be a bit more specific? People will be talking about radio triggers.
2. Walls. Umbrellas. People in white shirts. Clouds (they come with their own light source). Any surface that appears large relative to your subject makes a good diffuser.

Your comments are pretty vague. Photographic gel isn't a sticky liquid, it's colored plastic that you put in front of the flash, usually using velcro or some fancier holder method. I use velcro.

Thanks Tim.

Well I'm not sure sure if I can get more specific then that because I hear "flash triggers" and not radio triggers.

A flash trigger is anything that can trigger a flash, most people will mean radio triggers. Cybersyncs, skyports, pocket wizards, cheapy ebay slaves, etc. An ST-E2 probably wouldn't be called a flash trigger, but it could be.

PC sync cords are flash triggers too but nobody likes wires anymore. :D

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

cdifoto, What about that $25 remote control for the camera so you can shoot wireless?

Would that work too?
