Just checked a website over here in china. Looks like the 50D is already being sold! Unfortunately prices here are pretty expensive compared to the states.:(

By sold do you mean orders taken or physical units given out? You'd think Japan would be the first to receive actual units..

maybe i jumped the gun. i checked two posts and they stated in stock, but most other sellers are saying pre order. who knows?

If anyone can produce an item before it is actually available, it is the Chinese. Just be sure to check how "Canon" is spelled on the front of the camera!;)
