Hi, im travelling to Amsterdam in the next few weeks and was wondering if anyone can recommend any good stores there to get gear from?

I'm particulary looking at a Gitzo 1541t and Markins QT3 head.

Not sure if the prices are any better and im going from the UK and realise the exchange rate is not as good as it used to be but still if I can save a few £££ its always nice :)

Dave

Forget about Markins; can't get them here. In Amsterdam there's Calumet and Camex, both on the expensive end of the scale.

The big photography shops are in Rotterdam area; Kamera-Express, FOKA

Well Amsterdam innercity is a great place for street photography. It's an old city so lots of old buildings, musea, red light district, the canals (don't fall in).
Weather should be just like the UK (sucks :) )
