How is that photo shocking Wilt? I thought it quite tame.

The photo itself is not 'shocking' by my standards, but it seems to be one that is intended to jar the viewer in some way. that is what I meant by 'shock'. But hey, I am a Left Coaster, and our values are quite radical by Midwest standards, we have Gay Pride parades and mixed race marriages and same gender marriages! :)

There are many types of photographs that I can appreciate, even though it might be something I would never do myself. But the mrandrew posted sample photo falls into the same category as 'trash TV' does! Sorry I see no redeeming value to shots like this, and the only point seems to be to shock the viewer (and I don't shock easily).

I believe as a photographer, you should be capable of photographing multiple types of scenes. If an image falls into a "trashy tv" look, then so be it. It is the job as a photographer to be flexible and to be subjected to different looks in the industry. Seeing something as 'trash tv' is just ignorant.

If you have nothing to add, please don't press your cynical views onto my thread.

Thanks.
