Nice color. A blurred background would have capped off a good pic with more of a focus on the tug.

scout, for that he would have to be very far back with a big zoom lens ;)

any over like 200mm (dunno about macro)... the reason you have to be far back is cause you have to show depth... and if you zoomed in on say an object from far away (go to the macro sub forum and you'll see) the object will be focused and anything behind it will be very blurred.

Or at the same distance and focal length with a wider aperture.

You have some interesting boats there, nice reflection too. Perhaps cropping the boat on the right hand side out and also a slightly lesser crop on the left hand side would make the tug the focus of interest and then you wouldn't need to buy a big expensive zoom :)
